Hi there, I'm so sorry for your loss! I was trying to reconnect with the Richard Patrick who I met in Nepal. We trekked the Annapurna Circuit in a group. I found this obit and believe this to be him. I would greatly appreciate it if a family member could confirm this. I have such fond memories, but we lost touch as I was moving around quite a bit. I just read his diary of the trek and he brought the whole experience back to life for me. Thank you, sheree_storm@yahoo.com

Mo, Krissy & Family, We are heartbroken to hear of Rick’s passing. We fondly remember sitting on our boat at Riverside Marina, having a drink and enjoying both of your company. Whenever we think of Rick we will think of him as a gentle giant. His love for you Mo and Kris was immense, immeasurable and profound. You both were the light and loves of his life. I will never forget his humility and kindness. Rick was taken much too soon; but I know that he is at peace, surrounded by calming water and radiant sunsets on the most beautiful of sailboats.
