Our sincerest condolences to Zia Anna, Marco (Ann-Marie), Giovanni (Nicolina), all the children and the entire family.
Zio Mario (Jefro) was and will always be 'number one'. Zio was one of the most beloved, kindest people I have ever met in my life. Words can't express the impact he had on the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. He always put others before himself, tried to make people laugh and was always there to lend a helping hand when needed. You will be missed and we will always think of you (especially every time we hear the Italian national anthem). We will love you forever and always.
Dino, Christy, Sienna and Gianna Scalzo

We are sending our deepest sympathies to Anna and family. Clare and I lived next door to Mario and Anna for 26 years. Mario was a wonderful neighbour. We spent a lot of time enjoying a visit on the porch and patio. Mario shared his garden tomatoes with us. Anna shared her baked goods. Clare was always willing to help Mario with a chore that needed to be done. We are feeling such a loss and sadness with his passing. Sending Anna prayers and hugs. Coleen and Clare Musson

Dear Tavolieri family,
Coach Mario was the kindest, most loving soul that I have come across. His spirit and passion for football was only surpassed by his love for people, especially his family. I learned life skills and lessons from him that have made me a better person, and that I now teach to the youth, paying it forward.
Coach Mario, you will never be forgotten. I am passing on my love and my father’s love (John) to the Tavolieri family.
Sincerely,
Rob Gombar

Mario was one of the most giving men I've had the pleasure of knowing and calling a friend. A man who Loved and Lived for his Family. He had the heart of a Father, he proudly shared stories and updates on his children and grandchildren. He left a legacy of Love, hard work, and strength even in difficult times. I have wonderful memories of the years we worked together at the City and doing cement jobs on weekends with Anna making sure I am always well nourished. His Love is even in Ghana Africa where he blessed me with soccer uniforms and balls to give to the kids in our orphanage. Mario was a man I am Extremely Honoured to have known and had the opportunity to be part of His life. Thank you Tavolieri Family for sharing your Husband, Father and Nonno with me. I am a better man for knowing Him. Praying Gods Blessing and Comfort over you. Dave Curtis
