Obituary of John Victor Robinet

ROBINET, John Victor Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at age 92. Cherished husband to Margaret (Fontaine). Predeceased first wife Theresa (Ballay) (1986) and by his loving daughter Janet (2000) (Lido Sandre). Adored grandfather to John Sandre (Mike), Bill Sandre (Criss Ann), and Dr. Lisa Sandre, and great grandchildren Mickaila Sandre and Sydney Sandre. Dear step father to Don Fontaine (Anna), Catherine Fontaine, John Fontaine (Debbie) and Brad Fontaine (Cathy). Caring step grandfather to Lucas Gaudette, Paige Lewis (Jeff), Bree Gaudette, Clint Fontaine (Kathline), Lauren Sommerville (Phil), Robyn, Brandon and Katie Fontaine. John leaves behind his brother and sisters Florence Bistany, Delia Connor, Dez Robinet, predeceased by Dan, Blaise, Corrine Belleperche, Evelyn Pike, Jeannette Tessier, and Jean Cecile. Son of Octave and Lillian Robinet. John was a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, member of the Canadian Legion Branch 261. John was instrumental in establishing the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce and the Knights of Columbus in Tecumseh. Owned and worked at Robinet's Hardware in Tecumseh for 59 years. He was a member of the ushers club at St. Anne"s Church. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. At John"s request cremation has taken place. A memorial mass with visitation for John will be held at St. Simon and St. Jude in Belle River on Saturday, August 9th, 2014 from 10am until time of memorial mass at 10:30am.
