Obituary of Margaret Anne Gillis

GILLIS, Margaret Anne "Peggy" ( nee Gillies ) Passed away peacefully on November 21, 2010 at home, surrounded by her loving family at the age of 100 years. Reunited with her beloved husband Sam Gillis ( 1979 ). Dear sister of Flora Gillies and predeceased by parents John and Mary Ann Gillies, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a retired Elementary School Teacher with the Windsor Separate School Board and a member of the Retired Teachers of Ontario. Margaret was a faithful and devoted Parishoner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOMES LTD (BANWELL CHAPEL) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. 519-253-7234 ( corner of Banwell and Tecumseh Rd. E.) on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 6 to 9 PM and Wednesday, November 24, 2010 from 6 to 9 PM. Parish prayers Wednesday at 8:00 PM. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 25, 2010 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (834 Raymo Rd. at Wyandotte St. E.) for visitation from 10:00 AM until time of Margaret's funeral mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario or to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
