Obituary of Ethel Mary Semple

SEMPLE Ethel Mary (nee Musgrove) Passed away peacefully, at Devonshire Seniors Residence on May 9, 2011 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Norman Wesley Semple (2003). Dear mother of Raymond and wife Lori of Windsor; Charles and wife Colleen of Kitchener; and John and wife Elisabeth of Whitby, Ontario. Dear "Nanny" & "Nana" of 12 Grandchildren and 2 great Grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Bill and wife Eileen Musgrove, and the late Bert and wife Irene Musgrove. Dear sister-in-law of Aileen and husband Dr. Everton Morris, the late Fred Wilkinson; and the late Joyce and husband Charlie Black. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Ethel assisted her husband Norman in the early years of their Optometric business on Ouellette Avenue, and were longtime members of Essex Golf and Country Club. Ethel and Norman lived many years on Lincoln Road, and she often reminisced of her close friends and neighbours. The family would like to thank the staff at Devonshire Seniors Residence for the care and compassion shown to our mother. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Main Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East 519.253.7234, on Wednesday May 11, 2011 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Service Thursday May 12 at 10:00 am in the Chapel, with Rev Ron Matthewman officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
