Uncle Jim, Jackie and Susie - We are so sorry for your loss. Although we rarely got to see any of you guys after we left Windsor, the times we did see Aunt Helen we could always count on a great big smile and lots of hugs. I have 3 memories of Aunt Helen from when I was pretty young. The first was when I first met Uncle Jim - my first impression was that he was a pretty cool guy (looked cool anyway :) ) - and that impression was later confirmed when I got to know him after I got to work with him at Adie Knox arena when I was a teen. The 2nd was her awesome cool green Sunbeam Alpine convertible ( i think thats what it was anyway). She took me for a ride in it just after she got it - I was pretty young and it certainly left an impression. And lastly, Christmas day at Grama and Moshu's with all her brothers and sisters. I remember the adults pretty much non-stop laughing - I wish now I could attend one of those get-togethers as an adult. Again - we were saddened when we heard of her passing - take care. Dear Uncle Jim, Jack, Sue and the family, We just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with everyone at this time. I will always remember the times that Aunt Helen and Uncle Jim and the rest of the Fortais family traveled up to my parent's cottage. Those summers were always filled with constant laughter, fun and of course those crazy baseball games! I especially enjoyed the numerous times Aunt Helen would always seem to put her younger brother(who was always at one time or another embarrassing us!) in his place no matter the topic, location or number of drinks. On her behalf our family is making a donation to our local SPCA-that is your equivalent to the Ontario Humane Society. They do wonderful work and we know how Aunt Helen always loved her dogs.
