Obituary of Michael Thomas Sokol

SOKOL, Michael Thomas "Mike" It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Michael, at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, on March 13, 2010, at the age of 90 years. Husband of the late Ethel Sokol (2001). Loving father of Rick Sokol and wife Mary, Linda Ikonov and husband Jim, Debbie Goudreau and Wayne Girard. Cherished grandfather of Keith and Janet Sokol, Matthew and Chantelle Goudreau, Morgan Ikonov,Dayna and Brandon Poisson. Dear great-grandfather of Erin and Lillian. Dear brother of John and wife Stella, Andy and wife Elanor. He was survived by many nieces and nephews. Mike was retired from S.K.D. Manufacturing (Amherstburg) after 42 years of dedicated service. He was an avid gardner, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Windsor Spitfires fan, and a great lover of animals. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday March 16, 2010 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday March 17, 2010, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
