Mike and Ethel were our neighbours on Poplar. We lived there in 1984 - 1988. Our best memories of Mike were his conversations on the front step. He had the odd grumble about things, but he always talked about Ethel with affection. She made him laugh. I know it was difficult for him when she passed away. He always admired her and worried about all her aches and pains. We thought that was very endearing. We were sad to hear that Mike had passed away and hope he has found peace.
