Obituary of Emily Whitehead

WHITEHEAD Emily (nee O"Dea) " Miss Emily" Passed away peacefully on Friday November 20, 2009 with family at her side at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital, following a courageous battle with cancer and diabetes, at the age of 60 years. . Emily is survived by her husband of 39 years, Dennis. Loving mother to Scott and wife Erica; and Kristy Bechard and husband Ryan. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Daniel and Allison Whitehead. Also surviving is her brother Pat O"Dea and his wife Patricia, of Tucson AZ., as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins in the U.S.A. Emily was very involved with the Waterford Hills ( Michigan) Road Racing Association, and will be fondly remembered by hundreds of pre-schoolers as " Miss Emily" , following over 25 years at both Forest Glade, and the Optimist Community Centres. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Monday November 23, 2009 from 2-5 pm, and from 7 pm until time of Funeral Service to celebrate Emily's life at 7:30 pm .
