Dear Family, Emily was in the bed next to my mother in the hospital. She was always cheerful, with a sense of humour, pragmatic, organized even in the space she had, clear thinking, and thankful for those who helped her. She stayed in the present and did not focus on her situation. She watched over the other women in the room who couldn't watch over themselves. She was friendly and inviting and enjoyed her CD's. She was a person that you thought you knew very well even though we only shared that room for a short while. She certainly was an inspiration and role model. I remember her well, and I am sorry to read about her passing. With sympathy, susan
