As I write this, your Mom's funeral service is happening. Nellie & Lloyd were good friends of both my parents, Herman & Dorothy Hayward, and my aunt & uncle, Margaret & Art Patrick (I think Uncle Art was a cousin). And Nellie was one of the ladies around the church when I was growing up - helping with kids ministry, women's ministry, wherever. Adults faithfully and joyfully living for Jesus make a deep impression on the kids in the church! Bonnie & Ted, I know that you've cared for Nellie with much love and faithfulness in the past few years. May the presence of Jesus comfort and strengthen you today and in the days ahead. It probably won't be long 'til we're reunited again! In the meantime, I sometimes picture my Dad in heaven looking down at me and saying, "Go girl!" What an encouragement!
