Obituary of Eleanor Jiuliana Rindlisbacher
Just shy of 91-years-old, our sweet Nonna passed peacefully at home in her sleep. Predeceased by her parents, Girolamo and Lina Nussio, (Brotto) and Harold, her loving husband of 61 years. She is survived by brother, Lawrence Nussio and best sister, Mary Cimarosti. She was absolutely tireless in her love and devotion to her family, and will be dearly missed by her children, Peter (Ellen), Paul (Lois), Mary (Fattolah Nejat - Bakhsh), Tom (Lisa), Tim (Jennifer), and Julie (Geoff Butler). Remembered as grandmother extraordinaire by 15 grateful grandchildren: and two cherished great-grand daughters.
Eleanor began a career as a lab tech at Hotel Dieu Hospital before beginning a family. She continued to work in graphic design, and used her boundless artistic talent to delight others with her book illustrations, paintings and playful line drawings, until her very last days. She was active in the St. Gregory's CWL and served as a quintessential mother figure to many. Her life was truly love in action, an unbroken chain of small, unsung kindnesses, patience and selfless gestures. With a heart and soul for quiet service, she was modest and practical, steady and compassionate. She led by example, perfected gratitude, and will leave us forever in awe of her personal Grace. Donations may be made to Windsor Hospice.
