As a beloved aunt, Tiang Perlita held a special place in our lives. We always looked forward to her visits to Balaoan. We fondly remember her for being kind and warm, her sweet smile lighting up the moments we spent with her. She had a generous heart, her thoughtfulness evident in the little gestures that made a big difference. Tiang Perlita will be dearly missed, and we will forever remember the joy and love she brought into our lives.

Photo taken on Nov 17, 1998. It was the 50th wedding anniversary of Ricardo (Sr) and Anastacia with the Caday family who were in Canada during that time. It was a momentous occasion and I remember Perlita being so joyful and full of energy throughout the celebration. Perlita, you will be greatly missed.

Tita Perlita is like a second mom to me. She used to tell me that we very much resemble each other. Who am I to object? We celebrate our birthdays days apart - hers is October 1, and mine is on the 3rd. I would regularly greet her on her birthday and she would respond "Same to you." I will pretend to be mad and say "I know you'll no longer call me on the exact day of my birthday", to which she would respond "Of course! I already greeted you today!" And both of us would burst out laughing and she will say sweetly "Gagaaa". That is my fondest memory of my Tita. I will surely miss our laughter when our birthdays come yearly. The succeeding years will never be the same again as I have no one to call and greet every first of October.
