Obituary of Sylvain "Sly" Lessard
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend Sylvain Charles Lessard on October 24th, 2023 at the age of 20 years. Loving son of mother Line Pouliot and father Marco Lessard & spouse Edith Martineau. Dearest brother to Nicolas and step-sister Tanya Martineau. Loving boyfriend to Aleksa Renaud. Will be forever missed by the Lessard’s, Martineau’s, Pouliot’s and Renaud’s, and as well as his extended family and cherished friends. Sylvain started playing hockey when he was 4 years old and the game became his passion. Over the years he played for many teams but most recently was a player of the Leamington Flyers, Wheatley Omestead Sharks and the Lakeshore Canadiens. He was known for his hard work ethic, cooking skills and kind heart. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, kayaking and playing golf. Sly was a graduate of L’Essor High School and most recently graduated from St. Clair College Chatham as a Powerline Technician and was an employee of Windsor Power & Light. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire community for their immense compassion, love, donations and support during this difficult time. Sly will never be forgotten.
