Obituary of Antonio "Nino" Curti

CURTI, Antonio “Nino” March 11, 1929-January 26, 2020 Passed away in the loving arms of his beloved wife Cleta (nee Zuccaro) of 62 years. Their hearts were permanently locked forever. Loving father of Rose Marie Bortolin (the late Americo “Ozzie”), Cindy Borg (Charlie) and Lia Bennett (Danny). Cherished nonno of Angelo and Briana Bortolin, Luca and Nina Bennett and Adriana and Julian Borg. Nino is predeceased by his parents Guido and Rosa Curti and his brothers Vincenzo (the late Oria) and Angelo Curti. He is survived by his sisters in-law Lia Santia (Sid) and Alberta Cerilli (Tony). Nino was the precious and proud Zio of many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to all the PSW’s who cared for him, especially Cheryl for her devotion to him and his family. Nino was born in Faleria, Viterbo, Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1953. He was a very skilled cabinet maker and left his legacy throughout Essex County. He was so skilled at his craft they entrusted Nino to recreate the historical woodwork at Fort Malden. After many years of dedicated service, he retired from Deluca Construction. His family was always a priority, especially his time with his adored grandchildren. He considered himself to be a very blessed man with a long marriage, three daughters and the three men they married that he considered his sons. His heart was broken after the passing of Ozzie and he never really recovered from his loss. Nino was a loving man and he will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. We love you and will miss you dad.
