Obituary of Adriano Morson

Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on May 20, 2023 at 85 years of age. Predeceased by his parents, Irene (d’Ettore) and Umberto and sisters Giannina and Velia.  Survived by brother Enzo and sister Maria.  Beloved husband of Mara (Berretta), father of Mark and Robert (Sarah) and Nonno of Michael.  Dear Zio and Cugino of numerous nieces, nephews and cousins across Canada, Europe, and Australia.  Born in Italy, Adriano came to Canada in 1959 and became a proud Canadian in 1967.  He loved watching sports (especially soccer!), breeding birds, gardening and fixing anything that was broken; but nothing was more important than providing for and protecting his family.  It was his joy and reason for being.  Even until his last breath, he was trying to make sure that his cherished Mara was cared for.  His charm and humour were bright spots in the world for everyone who knew him.  Special thank-you to his PSW’s, the nurses from the VON, and all the staff of 4th floor North at Windsor Regional Hospital (Metropolitan Campus).  Memorial tributes to the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County would be appreciated. Visitation Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home (Banwell location), 11677 Tecumseh Road East. Funeral Mass on Friday, May 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Parish, 12233 Tecumseh Road East. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, 5005 Howard Avenue.
