Obituary of Dimas De Sousa

De Sousa, Dimas

April 17, 1936 - May 12, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our pai. Predeceased by loving wife, Maria (nee Vicente). Cherished father of Lucy Charlton (Mike) Manuel (Lysa). Devoted grandpa to Tim, Robert (Bailey), Connor and Joelle. Predeceased by parents Henrique and Maria Jose Sousa. Predeceased by siblings Fernando, Benjamim, Alvareo, Maria Isabel and Adelaide. Brother-in-law to Manuel Vicente (Brites). Dear uncle to Maria Coscarella (Carlo) and Jose Henrique Vieira (Maria Alice). He will be dearly missed by his extended family in Canada and Portugal.

Dimas loved spending time in the Azores and he enjoyed sharing the stories of his youth, bull fighting on the island of Terceira. Above all, he cherished his time spent with his grandkids.

Family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Dolce Vita Retirement Home for the extraordinary care they provided him while he lived and enjoyed his time there.
