DEGUIRE, Valerie (nee Theaker)

April 27, 1951 - May 8, 2023

Passed peacefully with her loving family by her side. Beloved wife of Gil of 50 years. Loving mother of her darling son, André. Predeceased by parents Elizabeth and Reginald Theaker. Daughter-in-law of late Armand and late Laura DeGuire. Sister to Tim Theaker (late Sharon), Ann Elizabeth Munholland (Barry) and John Theaker. Sister-in-law to late Armand Deguire (Carol), Marguerite Santarossa (late Marino), Annette Scurr (late Bill) and Roger Deguire (Dot). She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews.

Val was always a caring, loving and giving person, volunteering at hospice and crocheting baby hats for the infants at the hospital. She was an avid reader and a Word Search enthusiast. She always cherished spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed her bus trips. Family would like to give special thanks to the ICU team at WRH - MET Campus for their professional and compassionate care during her brief stay.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice.
