Obituary of Ronald Girard

Passed away peacefully on April 9, 2023, at the age of 82. Beloved husband to dear wife Bernice for 61 years. Devoted father to Karen (Mike) Rivest, Kim, Ron (Jennifer), Ross and Rick. Cherished Pippy to Connor, Madeline (Fiancé - Curtis) and Melina (Carter).

Ron has been retired from Transit Windsor after many years of dedicated service. On his off time, he spent it working at Girard Services and Groundskeeping alongside his son, Ron Jr. for many years. Ron had made many lasting relationships with his customers. A few girlfriends too!

He loved his family dearly. He also loved spending time with his son Ron Jr. at car shows with the infamous "Baby" - Ron Jr.'s '69 midnight blue Camaro.

Donations in Ron’s honour may be made to the Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus - 4 North. Many thanks should be given to the Windsor Regional - Met Campus staff. Specifically those in the Emergency Department and those on the 4th Floor -- Ryan, Tahar, Rachel, Courtney, Dr. Dave and Dr. Yassen. Additional thanks to the staff at St. Elizabeth's and Paramed Personal Support Workers and Nurses! Their care and compassion was priceless! Further thanks goes to the EMS paramedics who made sure to make him as comfortable and cared for as possible!

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at Windsor Chapel - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd E) from 10 am until the time of Funeral Service at 1 pm in the chapel. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
