Beloved husband and best friend for 52 years to Noemi (nee Fantin). Loving father of Brian, Amy, and Sarah Budd (Ken). Proud grandfather of Dakota (fiancé Steven), Severina, Isabel and Parker. He is survived by his sister Kathleen Friend (Jim Trueman), brother Robert Friend (Irene), brother in law John Fantin (Gloria) and sister in law Gail Fantin. He leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful supporting friends. Doug was an avid storyteller with a mischievous and joking nature. He had a passion for classic cars and although he was not a mechanic he could fix most problems that arose with your vehicle and was a handy man at home.
