Obituary of Alexander Samuel Kolody

KOLODY- Alexander Samuel It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander Samuel Kolody ( Alex) on February 12, 2021 at the age of 89 years with his family at his side. Loving husband to Margaret (Peggy) nee Davis (1999). Loving father to Barry (1995), Scott (Terri) and Wendy McCann (Brian) and devoted stepfather to Gina (Jim) Delorme and Ron Goede. He was an amazing grandpa, “Gido” to Danny, Erin, Lisa, Jennifer, Brandon, Brittany, Matthew, Brent, Jocelyn, Taylor, Drew, Evan and Connor and several Great Grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his sisters, Ann Hamel in Chilliwack, BC and Angeline (Melvin) Tiahlo in Edmonton. He was predeceased by his parents William (Wasyl) and Eugenia (nee Slipchuk) and his two brothers, Walter and Joe. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Alex was the proud owner of Centennial Bar and Kitchen Equipment which opened in Canada’s centennial year of 1967 and carried on for almost 30 years. Dad was a masterful handyman, avid gardener and conversationalist who touched the lives of many throughout his life. His legacy will forever be engrained in the lives of his family, friends and grandchildren. <b>May God Bless.</b> As per the family's wishes, a private service will take place on Wednesday February 17, 2021 and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
