Obituary of Edward Manchurek

Manchurek, Edward “Ed” Passed away peacefully with family by his side on September 26, 2022 at the age of 94. Reunited with wife, Lois (2003) and son Peter (2003). Survived by his children, Richard (Arlene) Cheryl (Steven) Gilbert and Al (Karen). Grandfather to Patrick, Shawn, Erin, James, Robert and Shannen. Will be dearly missed by 12 great-grandchildren. Ed is predeceased by parents Peter and Mary, siblings Dora, Alec, Frank, Rose, Vicky and Mike. Ed will be missed by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family would also like to thank all the management and staff of Brouillette Manor Long Term Care Home where Ed has resided for more than 10 years. During the past few years, Brouillette Manor did an unbelievable job at protecting the residents and keeping covid out of the facility. From nurses, PSWs, housekeeping, maintenance, volunteers and activity staff they all knew Ed and provided excellent care and support. Special thanks to Sandy, Michelle, Heather, Nancy (PSW), Gary and volunteer Alex to name a few for your care, compassion and going that distance. Visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel, (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E. 519-253-7234. On Thursday September 29, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. With a service in the chapel on Friday September 30, 2022 at 10 a.m. Procession to follow to Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
