It’s with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Elaine Claire Thompson (nee Desjardins) on Thursday, September 8,  2022 at 80 years young. She passed away peacefully  surrounded by her beautiful memories, her loving family and cherished friends. Elaine lived a great life with her best friend and husband of 55 years, Gerald Hugh Thompson (Sept 21, 1938 - Dec. 29, 2014) She enjoyed traveling the world, golfing and countless celebrations with loved ones. Elaine is survived by her four children, Nettie , Robyne  and husband Paul Pecora, Christopher and wife Joann, Rachel and husband Antonino Zambito. Loving Meme & Nana of Jordan, Erica, Nicole, Andrew and Michael. Great grandmother of Ivy and Everett. Dear sister of Doug (Sue) Desjardins, and the late Butch and John. Elaine was a member of the Essex Golf and Country Club. Visiting at Windsor Chapel (Central location) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East (519) 253-7234 on Sunday September 11, 2022 from 2-6 p.m. Funeral service on Monday September 12, 2022 leaving the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. going to St John Vianney Church 385 Dieppe Street, Windsor,  for Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. As your expression of sympathy donations may be made to Salvation Army or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
