Obituary of Maria Mayer

MAYER , Maria "Marisch" Anna (née Besel) Born in Parabut 1934 and passed away July 31, 2022. The widow of Frank Mayer, she was a fantastic mother to three girls; Maria Laschuk (Bohdan), Martha Kuyek (Robert), and Margaret Mayer (Fred Jackson). Marisch was a devoted Oma to Cassandra McKnight (Craig), Trevor McKnight (Jonathan), Michael Laschuk (Andreea), Hannah Kuyek (Paul Vollhoffer), Matthew Laschuk (Rosie), Nathaniel Kuyek (Kaitlyn Bailey), Madison McKnight (Nicholas), Mark Laschuk, Samuel Kuyek (Madison), and Michael Allison (Audrey). Great-grandchildren Ryder Paré, McKenna Paré, Emery Kuyek, Ella Kuyek and Aliaïa Allison brought her much joy. Predeceased by both her brother, Frank Besel (Julischka) and her sister-in-law Katherine Quint (late Anton). Warm, caring and funny, Marisch reveled in being the ultimate grandmother. Everyone, not only her own grandchildren, called her Oma. Many thanks to Victoria and Amandeep who helped us to keep Marisch at home as long as possible during her decline. We are very grateful to the staff at Extendicare Tecumseh who looked after her so well in her last year. Private family service has taken place. All services entrusted to Windsor Chapel.
