JOHAL, Gurcharanjeet ~ Channi

Surrounded by her loving family Gurcharanjeet Johal passed away peacefully on July 20th, at the age of 71. Channi was born in India on August 11,1950. She graduated in business administration and was married to her late husband Bhan singh Johal for 30 years. She was the owner and chef of Sangam Sweets and restaurant for 20 years.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Channi was an avid chef who had a passion for cooking, entertaining and shopping with her friends. Her door was always open for a cup of chai and cookies or her famous pakoras. She would always sit you down and tell stories about her faith and her devotion to God!

Her strength, positivity and warm sense of humour stayed with her until her final days. Her expression of love for her entire family will remain in our hearts forever.

Loving mother to Gavy (Roby), Monu, Geena (Keith) and Sunny (Cheman). Cherished grandmother to Eisha, Ethan, Emma, Elexis, Mika, Raya, Kareena, JaiVeer, Anika and Jasmine.

A very special heart felt thank you to Dr Joshi for the utmost care he had provided throughout her journey.

She will also be missed by many friends and extended family.

Channis last wishes were, for her life to be celebrated in a way that we all knew her as. Her love of flowers and vibrant colours will never be forgotten. Beauty that was elegant yet simple and her joyful personality will forever be in our hearts! Let’s remember her the way she would want to celebrated!

Visitation and prayer services to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave, 519.253.7234 on Thursday July 28th from 10am-12pm.
