Obituary of Richard Jakowiec
With saddened hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of a great son, husband and father at the age of 50. Beloved husband of Nadia Jakowiec for 24 years. Adored father to Alexander and Nicolas (Mackenzie). Cherished son of Ursula Jakowiec and the late Stanislaw Jakowiec. Treasured son-in-law of Giuseppina Sperduti and the late Giulio Sperduti. Admired brother of Mark Jakowiec. Adored, brother-in-law to Ennio Sperduti (Rita), Joe Sperduti (Marisa), and Peter Sperduti (Jennifer). Dearest uncle to David Sperduti (Amanda), Julia Sperduti, Sabrina Sperduti (Alex), Tyler Sperduti, Samantha Sperduti (Dylan), and Ava Sperduti (Jett). Richard passed away with his family and friends by his side providing him with an endless array of love as he always provided to them. He will be eternally remembered for the legacy he leaves behind filled with laughter, smiles, and memories for all those that knew him. He was a hard-working man loved by many of his co-workers at Papak Cement. More than anything, Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. A special thank you to Zia Loreta Mastroianni for her love and support. The family would also like to thank the nurses, physicians, and other staff within the Intensive Care Unit at Windsor Regional Hospital-Metropolitan Campus for their empathic care and compassion. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave. 519-253-7234 on Wednesday July 6th , 2022 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 9:00p.m. Funeral services begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 from the funeral home with a procession to Our Lady of Perpetual Help (804 Grand Marais Rd E) for the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery.
