Obituary of Odette Callegher
CALLEGHER, Odette (nee Dotto)
Passed into the arms of her Lord on June 11, 2022 at the age of 92. Odette was born in Montceau-les-Mines, France to Giorgio Dotto and Margherita Setto on February 7, 1930. She married Dante Callegher on April 19, 1947 in Fiume, Veneto, Italy. Odette is preceded in death by her husband Dante Callegher and daughter Nilde Callegher. She is survived by her daughter Susan Callegher, brother Rene Dotto, grandchildren Jessica (Antonio) Guglietti, Jeff Hupalo, and James (Ruby) Hupalo; Stephen Mailloux, Jason (Elizabeth) Mailloux, and her beloved great-grandchildren Evan and Daniel Guglietti, Rosalie and Anabelle Hupalo, Aria and Luna Mailloux, and Lily and Olivia Mailloux. She worked at St. Clair College for 30 years. She was deeply involved in her community and volunteered her time in helping others through Hospice and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church. Odette was an avid gardener, spending many hours creating elegant and complex gardens around her home. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave., (519)253-7234 on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Dr.) on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the St. Clair College Foundation, Hospice of Windsor, Alzheimer’s Society of Windsor-Essex County or Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
