Obituary of Corinne Mary Zanchetta
ZANCHETTA, Corinne
Nee Renaud
Passed away peacefully in her family’s arms on the 21st of May at Hospice of Windsor at the age of 70 years young, after a courageous battle with cancer. Her life was a living example of purposeful gifts and her repeated phrase “all you can do is try.”
As per Corinne’s wishes, she fought her illness at home with dignity and strength. Living one day at a time, she demonstrated humour, positivity, and acceptance and celebrated many milestones with family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Adrian of 47 years, her children Shanna (Matej Mesar), Ian (Jamee Doyle) and Darren, and her three grandchildren Sasha, Rory and Maxine. Also, her brothers Patrick Renaud (Joanne), Wilf Renaud and Mark Renaud. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends.
Predeceased by her parents Wilfred Renaud, Annie Renaud, and her beloved sister and best friend Sandra Hebert (Phil Hebert).
Corinne was the epitome of a loving mother, and her family meant the world to her. She generously cared for everyone she knew. Her compassion led to a career as a nurse which started at Hotel Dieu in Windsor. She had many achievements in Women’s Health and improved the lives of thousands with her medical expertise, integrity, and professionalism. She was dedicated to the care of others for more than 30 years, until she retired from the London health Sciences Centre.
Corinne enjoyed the companionship of her husband, traveling the world, her two furbabies, lending a listening ear, bargoon hunting, sewing until the break of dawn, sipping an icy diet coke, reading crime or mystery novels, cooking comfort food, and spoiling her grandkids. Corinne always left a memorable impression on those who met her!
Corinne’s passion was quilting, sewing, knitting and doing sewing jobs as favours for friends. She was largely self-taught but also attended retreats and perfected her craft with her sewing soul sisters.
Even though her soul embarks on a new journey, she shall continue to watch over us as our guardian angel.
As per Corinne’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday May 26th, 2022, from 4-7pm.
