Obituary of Pamela Neila

NEILA, Pamela Margaret (formerly Cook, nee Pittenger) Passed away peacefully at home at the age of 74 on April 10, 2022. Survived by husband Nicholas Neila, daughter Julie Cook (Kevin Atkinson), step-daughter Christiana Neila (Sam Allison), step-son Martin Neila (Julia Brown), granddaughter Mary Houle (Rob Veasey), great-granddaughter Isla Veaseysister and sister Patricia Laforet. Predeceased by parents Kathleen "Kay" and Leonard Pittenger. Pamela trained as a registered nurse at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital and went on to apply her medical knowledge, working for State Farm and Greg Monforton law firm. She was a volunteer at the Heart and Stroke Foundation and volunteered and was employed at the Canadian Cancer Society. Pamela was a true social butterfly and could light up a room with her beauty and charm. She and Nicholas were members of the Windsor Yacht Club for many years, sailed with their friend Sandy Szekely and later had their own sail boat. Pamela's love for Nicholas will surely be ever-lasting, as family and friends know. Pamela stood out as a beautiful, smart and gracious woman and will be deeply missed.
