Obituary of Walter Douglas Bondy

BONDY, Walter Douglas “Wally gator” January 28, 1942-January 26, 2021 It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Walter, after a long and courageous battle. He entered into eternal life surrounded by his wife and children on January 26, 2021 at the age of 79. He leaves behind his loving wife Deborah (nee Polkosnik) for 49 years. Dear father of Christine Shepley (John), Lana Rawlings and Neil Bondy (Hope). Cherished grandfather of Chase (Twinkle), Daniel, Adam, Tyler Shepley (Natalie) and Mitchell Rawlings and great-grandfather of Athena Shepley. Walter also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He will be reunited with his beloved parents Donald and Margaret, his brothers Donald Jr., and John, and his sister Yvonne Robertson. Walter is survived by his sisters and brother, Joyce Bell (Don), Richard Bondy (Barb), Irene Larsh-Mascarin (Enzo) and Carol Daley (Tom). Walter was known for his ability to light up a room with his wonderful sense of humor. He left a lasting impression on everyone he met and was a hardworking and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nurses in London and Windsor for their kindness, and compassionate care and support. A private family visitation and burial has taken place. A Celebration of Walter’s life will take place at a later date.
