hands down one of the best spirited good intentioned individuals ever had the pleasure to know. We never met before or worked together, just in the locker room of Windsor squash and fitness is where when I was lucky enough to run into him he would have a big smile and the best attitude everyday to say " how are you, hows work , whats your dad up to, are you ready for a great sweat?" So nice to have someone genuinely care and be so sincere without growing up together. Thank god he was familiar with fire protection because every time he got on that exercise bike it easily could have combusted the rate he was rollin. To his family I hope you carry on his spirit and so sorry for your loss. Will be seeing his face every time walking into to locker room. Thats a person everyone could look up too.

I met John through mutual friends while I was working at the Casino Windsor and we had many meetings over the years with Windsor Fire and Rescue. John was very professional and easy to work with in helping us achieve our goals. We also ran into each other many times while golfing in Gaylord Michigan during our annual September golf trip. Rest in peace my friend, Gerry

I had the pleasure of playing hockey with John in a Thursday night league years ago. We had a great group of guys and John was a special part of that group. I will always remember John as a kind, caring, competitive guy, a wonderful teammate. It was great to bump into him at the golf course and reminisce. He always had nice things to say.
His love of family was always evident. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was so sorry to hear John had passed, when I was a young man on WFD a group of us headed down to Myrtle Beach on a golf trip. Johnny joined us even though he didn't really know too many of us that well. We had such a great trip getting to know him. He golfed like a legend, he cooked half our meals he drank and laughed with us the entire week like the professional he was. John always made me smile whenever I ran into him. I'm so sorry for the huge loss, I know he will be watching his family from above. God Bless, I'm so glad I got to know John!

To the Maxim family: My sincere condolences on this unexpected loss. I had the pleasure to play hockey and golf with Max. In fact, for the past 40 plus years, he was one of the most popular members of a Friday golf league affectionately known as the R&A. I know when we open our league this spring, we will celebrate his life---he will be missed.
Unfortunately I am in Florida and unable to attend services.
