Obituary of Dragica "Caroline" Cavlovic

CAVLOVIC, Dragica, "Caroline" (nee Staresincic). 86 years. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Mother, Baba and Prababa on January 30, 2022 at the Hospice of Windsor with her daughters by her side. Born in Volavje, Hrvatska on October 26, 1935. Beloved Wife for 60 years to the late Zvonko (2011). Loving and devoted Mom to Stephanie and husband Mijo Bakic, Joanne and husband Antony Blazevic, and Mary Anne and husband Paul Henderson. Cherished Baba to Christopher and wife Kata Bakic, Jennifer and husband Aaron Saby, A.J. and wife Courtney Blazevic, Jonny Blazevic and James and wife Monica Blazevic, Katey and Mary Henderson. Prababa to her pride and joy, Josip, Maggie, Maria, Emilio and Anastasia. Predeceased by her dear sister Slava Sorman and brother Franjo Staresincic. Also survived by many nieces and nephews in Canada and Croatia. Dragica was a homemaker and the heart of the family, everything she did was for her children and grandchildren. Her happiest moment was when she was surrounded by her family. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church and an active member in the Croatian community. Heartfelt thanks to the care our mother received at home by Beth, Dorothy and Melissa and the incredible compassion empathy support and care given by the entire Hospice team will never be forgotten leaving a positive lasting impact on the family. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (corner of Banwell & Tecumseh Rd. E.) (519) 253-7234 on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Parish prayers at 7:30 pm. A private Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Reservations and masks are required to attend the visitation at the funeral home.
