It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Francesco Amato on January 24th, 2022 at the age of 89. Loving husband to Santina with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. Predeceased by his parents Maria and Giovanni Amato. Dear brother to Rosetta Perri, and the late brothers, Antonio, Bernardo and Giovanni Amato. Loving and devoted father to Maria Casella (Tito), John Amato (Sandra), Roy Amato (Sue) and Nicolina Tavolieri (Giovanni). Loving Papa to his grandchildren, Dora, Santina, Frank, Chloe, Alaina, Frank, Shantel, Mario, Marina and great grandfather to Iris and Jackson. Will be greatly missed by his brothers-in-law, Vito and Rosario Curcuru and his sister-in-law Piera Sbrocca. He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved dearly.

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the nurses and staff at The Hospice of Windsor. We will forever be grateful for the respect, kindness and care shown to our father. In lieu of flowers a donation to The Hospice of Windsor would be appreciated.

Visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Avenue, 519-253-7234 on Thursday January 27, 2022 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM until 8:00PM. Parish Prayers will take place at 3:30PM in the chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Angela Merici Church on Friday January 28, 2022 at 11:00AM. Reservations and masks are required to attend the visitation and funeral mass. Please call Windsor Chapel between the hours of 8:30AM and 4:00PM to book a time slot.
