RELICH, Janko “John”

Born in Zumberak, Croatia on November 22, 1936.
With broken hearts we announce the peaceful passing of our loving husband, father and Dida on November 23, 2021, one day after his 85th birthday. Beloved husband of Zorica (nee Mahovlic) for 58 wonderful years.  Loving and devoted father to Donna Zrvnar and husband Ivan, Annie Besic and husband Mile.  Cherished Dida to Ivan and Anthony Zrvnar along with Lydia and Nikolina Besic.  Predeceased by parents Ilija and Anna Relic.  Dear brother to Marko Relic (Branka) and family, late sister Danica Sokac and family in Croatia.  Dear son-in-law to late Ivan and Magdalena Mahovlic.  Dear brother-in-law to late Franjo and Zorica Mahovlic and family in Croatia, late Ivan Mahovlic (Mary) and family,  Dragica Cunic (Frank) and family in Toronto, Peter Mahovlic (Anna) and family in Croatia, Ankica Kelic (Mijo) and family in Windsor, Slavica Horvatin (Josip) and family in Toronto.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, cousins and relatives in Canada and Croatia.  
John was a retired employee of National Auto Radiator with 36 years of dedicated service.  He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church since 1963.  John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He was loved by everyone and will be remembered always for his sense of humour and his joyful personality, which made him the life of social gatherings. You will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
Family and friends will be received at Windsor Chapel (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Sunday, November 28, 2021 from 5-9pm.  Parish prayers at 7:30pm.  A private Funeral Mass will he held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church.  Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens.  Masks are required to attend Visitation, Funeral Mass and Cemetery Service.  As an expression of sympathy, and to honour Janko, donations may be made to Crkva, Sv.
