Obituary of Trinh Nguyen To

TO, Trinh Nguyen

Passed away on November 20th peacefully at the age of 80. Loving husband to My Phuong Vuong, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Beloved Father to Christine (Kevin), Ha (the late Hieu), and Can (Tu Ly Ngo). Cherished Grandfather to Brian, Tiffany, Jennifer, Jonathan, James, Bonita, Lillian, and Daniel. Survived by one brother and three sisters in Cambodia. Brother-in-law to Du Vuong, Heng Len Hui, and Hoang Vien Quang. He will as well be missed by many extended friends and family.

Trinh was born in Cambodia and lived there for many years before immigrating to Canada in 1989. He worked at a 7-Up factory in Cambodia for many years and then worked in Windsor at CEL for 15 years where he was affectionately referred to as “Grandpa” by his co-workers. He was proud of his Chinese, Cambodian, and Canadian heritage. Spending time with Trinh, the news channel would always be on in the background. He was always up to date with current world events and politics. He had a love for many things like Solitaire, always being punctual (that meant being 20 minutes early), and his typical order of a Sausage and Egger from AandW. But nothing brought more love in his heart than his family. He was very selfless and would truly have done anything for his family. His grandchildren will fondly remember spending countless hours with him daily after school and nights spent watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. Trinh will be remembered as a very jolly man, always laughing with others, and will be dearly missed. We would like to thank the Staff at the CCU at Windsor Regional Hospital - Ouellette Campus for their compassion and care.

Visitation to take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, November 23 from 9am-11am. Burial to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
