Obituary of Jo-Anne Treverton

Treverton, Jo-Anne Gail (nee Pickard)

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jo-Anne Treverton. After a love-filled year of boldly and defiantly battling illness, Jo-Anne peacefully moved on with her family by her side during the early hours of Saturday July 17th, 2021. She will be sorrowfully missed by her high school sweetheart and husband of forty-eight years Robert Treverton, her three children Ryan Treverton (Rochelle), Derek Treverton and Erin Gouin (Jason), her grandchildren Rae and Samuel and her sister-in-law Barbara Treverton. Daughter of the late Garnet and Marcella Pickard and predeceased by her sister Maureen Pickard, Jo-Anne will live on in the hearts of her siblings Michelle Desmarais (Kevin), Mary-Lou Hansen (Jamie), Margot Herkes (John), Larry Pickard (Rachelle) and Jim Pickard (Nicole). Jo-Anne’s energetic and loving spirit lightened the hearts of many life-longfriends and she was admired for her ability to unselfishly put the needs of all others above her own. In 2018, after forty-seven years of caring for others, Jo-Anne retired from Windsor Regional Hospital where she worked as an RN. She lived a genuinely happy life filled with baking, traveling, and long walks with friends. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel) 3048 Dougall Ave, 519-253-7234 on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from 3:00pm - 5:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00 pm. As well as Saint Elizabeth Health Care (Meaghan and Marissa) and her long-time physician Dr. Liang who supported her during her battle, not once, but twice with cancer. In lieu of flowers we request donations be made in Jo-Anne’s honour to the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation through their website.
