Obituary of Wilfred Rochon

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Wilfred, a loving Husband, Father, Grandpa and Brother, on July 7, 2021, at the age of 95. Beloved husband to Amelia with whom he celebrated 64 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to Mark, Greg (Annette), Jonathan (Debrah). Cherished grandpa to Justin (2020), Nicole, Samantha, Douglas, Brandon, Keagon and Sienna, and great-grandfather to 10 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Helen Moore of North Carolina, Marie Carew of Windsor and predeceased by siblings, Edward, Rita, Irma Irene, Gilbert, Maurice, Phil, Reginald and Barbara.  He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  Wilfred was retired from the General Motors Transmission Plant with 36 years of dedicated service. He was a Veteran of WWII serving with the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry. He was also a proud Metis citizen. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Village of Aspen Lake for their compassionate care provided to Wilfred and his family. Visitation at Windsor Chapel (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519) 253-7234 on Friday, July 9, 2021 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm. A private Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2021 in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Masks are required to attend visitation.
