Obituary of Annie Lazurek

LAZUREK, Annie

Peacefully, on May 1, 2021 at 96 years of age. Beloved daughter of the late John Dumitru and Maria Lazurek. Dear sister of the late Fred Lazurek, Don Lazurek and Mary Kaza. Cherished aunt (“Nino”) of Greg (Sarah) Kaza, Steve (Fukiko) Kaza, Maria (Rich) Beland and Krystina (Julian) Hooper, Gary (Mercy) Lazurek and Shannon (Jim) Osmer. Annie retired from the Detroit Free Press as a commercial artist. Her Romanian heritage was a source of pride, and you might say that her mantra in life was, "Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without". She resided both in Wyandotte, Michigan and in her childhood home on Drouillard Rd., formerly known as “Ford City.” She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and friends.
