Obituary of Real Billette

Born May 3, 1927 Son of Theodore and Denise Billette , he was the youngest son of 14 children. Husband of Barbara Billette(Reinhart) He was married to Moira (Dyas) in 1954 to 1995 and had seven children Donald (deceased 2015) Richard, Mike (Lisa), Denise (Gary) Raymond, Jeanette (George) & Denis.

Born in Quebec and raised there, he left home when he was old enough to drive and headed west to British Columbia to start a job in the logging industry ended ended up at Brandon Manitoba after a few years where he met Moira and they were married. Moving back to Ontario so they could be closer to family They raised seven children in Morrisburg. When the construction work ended the family moved to Timmins where Dad worked at the mine and then moved to Iroquois Falls in 1969 start his own Construction business. Work brought him to the Windsor area in 1973 after his working career he enjoyed winter retirement in Florida with Moira who passed away in 1995. Dad remarried in 1999 to Barbara (Rhinehart) and lived out his retirement years and could be found at The Tecumseh mall drinking his 4 x 4 coffee almost every day. Dad always had a story to tell and he enjoyed laughter and he always had a joke for you. Unfortunately Alzheimer’s came to visit him. I would like to thank all the staff at Aspen Lake nursing home for their exceptional care and love they showed dad for over 6 years.

He will be missed by his 14 grandchildren Shane & Melissa, John & Cynthia & Jake, Brittney & Tiffany, Crystal, Janette, Brian & Danette, Damascus & Shabnaro, Corrie, Michael Daniel, Steven and 14 great

Grandchildren Travis, Austin, David, Ellie, Lily, Zander, Daisy, Caleb, Lewis, Maddison, Olivia, Ethan, Olivia and Liam.
A private service was held Friday, February 26, 2021 with immediate family. Entombment followed at Heavenly Rest Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Windsor Chapel Funeral Homes (519-253-7234). Online condolences and cherished memories may be shared with his family at www.windsorchapel.com
