Obituary of Pietro Lo Castro

LO CASTRO, Pietro "Peter" It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband and father on December 5, 2019 at the age of 88, surrounded by his cherished family. He will be lovingly remembered and always missed by his beloved wife and soulmate of 55 years, Benedetta and as a treasured and devoted father to his sons Sal and Joe. Pietro has now been reunited with his late parents and his siblings and is dearly missed by his many nieces, nephews and extended family in Europe. Peter was a very honourable and loving man with a true intellect and always known for helping others. He was a gentle, soft-spoken and joyful man. Peter was a people person who shared lively and friendly conversations with everyone he met whether that was at the family store Peter's Confectionary on Erie Street or at the City of Windsor where he retired after many years. He enjoyed many activities, one of which was working in his beloved garden. The rich legacy he has left behind will truly be carried on in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.
