Obituary of Michael Gerald Rivard

RIVARD, Michael Gerald, Passed away peacefully on November 20, 2019 at the age of 78 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Brown) for 54 years. Dear father of Michael (Nella), and Michelle Carmichael (John). Cherished papa of Mitchell Rivard, Holly Rivard, Krista Carmichael and Kevin Carmichael. Dear brother of Dianne White, Claude Rivard and brother in law of Ted Brown (Carol) and Barry Brown (Karen). Predeceased by his siblings John, Roland and Patricia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mike was a retired truck driver often calling himself “Super Trucker Mike” and sharing his slogan “Mikey’s the name, truckings the game.” He was very patriotic and proud to be Canadian. He loved his family and loved spending his free time with them, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid bingo player and loved to tell his story to anyone who would listen.
