Obituary of Kate Murgic

MURGIC, Kate (nee Jurisic) It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kate, our loving Mother and Baba on November 12, 2019 at the age of 81. Reunited with her beloved husband Stipe (2012) with whom she celebrated 48 years of marriage. Loving and nurturing Mother to Frank and Kelly Murgic , Dr. Mike Murgic and Dr. Elizabeth Paul. Cherished Baba to Nikola, Anne, Luka, Daniel and Emma. Predeceased by brother Nikola Jurisic. Kate was a faithful and devout parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church. She was very proud of her Croatian heritage and involvement in the Croatian community. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and sharing those gifts with family, friends and neighbours. She was a woman of great strength and will; spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally, and had a generous and giving heart. A special thank you to neighbours and friends who were always there for Kate. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., 519-253-7234 on Friday, November 15, 2019 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Parish prayers Friday at 8pm. Funeral Services on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 9:15 am from the funeral home then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10am. Entombment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Kate, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Church Building Fund or The Croatian Foundation of Windsor.
