Obituary of Judith M. Gebbie

GEBBIE - Judy M. 17 Aug 1947 - 24 Dec 2020 Judy passed away peacefully under the kind care of the staff at Berkshire Care Centre on the afternoon of 24 Dec 2020. Judy is survived by her sisters Jean Schmutz and Sheila Dalpe and brothers Don, Bill and Bob. Judy was born in Montreal and was the third daughter of John and Stella Gebbie. The Gebbie family moved to Windsor in 1954 and Judy along with her siblings made the daily trip down Marion St, across Wyandotte St to attend F.W Begley School and then later onto Patterson Collegiate Institute. The Gebbie family enjoyed car rides on Sundays which inevitably stopped by Peerless Ice Cream on Erie St. Judy enjoyed skating on the backyard ice rink as well as roller skating at Riverside Arena. Judy’s last years were spent at Berkshire Care Centre were she enjoyed good friendships with both residents and staff. Cremation services were held and followed by burial at a later date.
