Obituary of Teresa Simonetti

Simonetti, Teresa (nee Tidei) June 15, 1932 – September 17, 2019 It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, and Nonna, Teresa. Beloved wife of Villa with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Cherished mother of Giacinto a.k.a Jessie (Marie-Claire), Clara a.k.a Simm (Douglas), and Maria a.k.a Mo (Richard). Doting Nonna to Kristina Patrick-Khan (Michael), Gabriel, and Sebastien (Dina-Marie Aiuto). Born in Force, Italy to the late Giuseppina Galosi and Gaetano Tidei. Loving sister to Maria Tofoni, Francesco Tidei, predeceased by brothers, Paolino and Gino. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews in Italy, Belgium, and Oakville. Teresa immigrated to Canada in 1958, married and started her family, she led a simple but fulfilled life and took strength in her faith and love of her family. She loved gardening, cooking, and loved to feed all of her guests. Our many thanks to her dear neighbours, especially Kathy and Steve Laslavic. A special thank you to Dr. Tiffany Czili and staff and also Dr. Saad and staff and the many PSW’s for their care and compassion. Visitation will take place at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Friday September 20, 2019 at 2-5pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place on September 21, 2019 at St. Theresa Parish (1991 Norman Rd.) at 10am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest.
