Obituary of Edilberto Malilay

Passed away peacefully in his home with his wife, Editha (nee Javier), of 48 years by his side on August 29th, 2019 at the age of 73. Loving father of Francis Malilay (Iris Caburao), Christopher (Anne) Malilay, and Jonathan (Joyce) Malilay. Proud grandfather to Amanda, Isabella, Nigel, and Addison. He joins his late mother, father, and brother: Mary, Potenciano, and Joseph. He is survived by his sister Aida (Manny) Devotta, brother Potenciano Jr. (Mirna) Malilay, and his many nieces, nephews, and relatives around the world. After immigrating to Michigan in 1971, Ed and his wife spent time living in Battle Creek, Detroit, and then Toronto before finally settling down in Windsor. Ed was a hardworking employee at General Motors for 27 years. He loved to spend his time, with Editha, gardening, traveling, cooking, going to the casino, and playing majong with their friends. He was a family-oriented man who loved his wife, children, and grandchildren very dearly.
