Obituary of John Butcher

John passed away on his birthday at the age of 75. He was born in India, grew up in Africa, educated in England, immigrated to Canada in 1967 and became an architect. Many homes John designed and built are located throughout Windsor. Later he became a high school teacher for the G.E.C.S.B.. One of his many achievements was to write a book about his Mother and Family’s life experiences called “Without A Suitcase”. John is survived by his loving wife & soulmate Ruth, his mother, 3 daughters, 2 step-daughters, 5 grandchildren, 1 brother in Florida, 1 aunt in Michigan, and several nieces and nephews. John was loved by all who knew him. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (central chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519-253-7234 on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 from 6-8pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 10:30am until time of Chapel Service at 11am. Cremation to follow.
