Obituary of Lillian Agnes Huntingford

HUNTINGFORD, Lillian Agnes (nee Poupore), 95 Years, passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, on July 30, 2019. Beloved wife of the late Bill Huntingford, formerly of Lighthouse Cove, Tilbury. Loving mother of Denise Carlyle & husband John, Winnipeg, Manitoba; Dr. Janice Huntingford & husband Harold Wagner, Maidstone; Judith Morris & husband James Statton, Dallas, Texas. Dear grandmother of William Lovatt and partner Kelsey Wong, Burnaby, BC; Chantal Lovatt and husband Dr. Joshua Magnusson, Winnipeg, Manitoba; Matthew Wagner, Maidstone; Dr. Melissa Wagner and husband John Wynans, Lyn, Ontario; Katrina Wagner, Maidstone; Gillian Morris and husband Dr. Nathan Romero, Boston; John Morris, Galveston, Texas. Proud great grandmother of Charlotte Lovatt, Burnaby, BC. Dear sister of Trudy and husband Dr. Richard Haracz. Dear aunt of Donna and Myron Molotky, and predeceased by her parents Ed and Gertrude Poupore, and brothers Ed, Bill, Tom, Ray, John and Frank and sisters Mary, and Anna. Lillian was Secretary-Treasurer of Reliance Steel Fabricators in Tilbury, Ontario for 44 years and enjoyed her career. She was very active in her church and women’s groups over the years, and was a member of Tilbury United Church, Heritage Park Alliance Church, and was currently a member of the Leamington United Mennonite Church. Lillian was also very active in her Southwood Lakes Ladies Group and enjoyed their activities, especially their birthday parties and line dancing. Special thank you to the staff at St. Elizabeth’s Health Care, especially Stephanie, the staff at Bayshore Home Care, particularly Elizabeth, and the staff at Hospice for all your care, dedication and utmost support shown to our family during this time. Visiting at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel), 11677 Tecumseh Road E., 519-253-7234 on Friday, August 2, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Further visiting will take place in the chapel on Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Gordon Brown, officiating. Interment to follow at Country Meadows Cemetery. In kindness, memorial tributes may be made to the Hospice of Windsor/Essex County or the Canadian Cancer Society.
