Obituary of Gabriella Benedetti

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gabriella at the age of 95. Gabriella was born in Cave, Italy on February 8, 1924, moving to Canada in 1955. Reunited with her beloved husband Luigi (2009) of 54 years. Loving mother of Giulia (Max) Duplessie, cherished Nonna to Elisa (Trevor) and Jonathan Ross (Kristin) and Bisnonna to Shelby, Brooklyn, Gabriella and Miranda. She is also survived by many family members in Italy. Gabriella was a kind and loving woman whose family was the centre of her strength. She worked hard to put together a loving marriage, family and home. Her passions were cooking delicious meals for family and friends, as well as spending hours in her garden growing vegetables and tending to her beautiful flowers; it all brought her great happiness. She will be forever missed and loved. Her family would like to thank all of the amazing staff and volunteers at the HDGH Palliative Care Unit, supported by Transition to Betterness, for her peaceful journey. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Rd. E. (519-253-7234) on Monday July 22, 2019 from 3-5 & 7-9. Parish prayers Monday afternoon at 3:30pm. Visiting to continue on Tuesday July 23, 2019 at Good Sherpard Parish 470 Advance Blvd from 10am until the time of the funeral mass at 10:30am. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Transition to Betterness Palliative Care Wing.
