Obituary of Florence Anderson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Florence Anderson, on July 12, 2019 at 89 years of age. She was welcomed home by her loving husband Roland (June 2008). Cherished mother of Brenda and husband Jerry Tramontozzi, Frances and husband Mike Mayer, Cindy Gelinas and Katherine and husband Chris Guilbeault. Most adored grandmother of David and wife Stephanie Tramontozzi, Ian and wife Ann Mayer, Lisa and husband Trevor Wysynski, Scott and wife Brooke Mayer, Jeff Gelinas, Doug and Nick Guilbeault. Loving great-grandmother of Isaac, Nate, Noah, Jake, Lyanna, Zack, Camryn and Kaleb. Predeceased by her parents Philip and Lovina Girard. Mom is survived by her sisters Agnes Gambeta, Dorothy Lessard and husband Don, Jeannette Doten and husband Ben, Rose Chaly and Patsy McLay and predeceased by her brothers Arthur (Jean), Raymond (surviving wife, Carol), Ernie, Leo, Marvin (surviving wife, Pam), Philip and Jerome. She is also predeceased by Roland’s siblings Norman, Gloria, Theresa, Grace, Annette and Florence. Flo is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She will be sadly missed by niece, Cookie and husband Lew. Mom was an independent, feisty woman who devoted her life to her husband and daughters. She sent us into the world as the independent women we are with the values and morals she possessed. She enjoyed her time with her sisters at the bingo and looked forward to their little getaways to Chatham where the three sisters would get together and do “whatever they wanted”. Funeral arrangements entrusted to WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd E 519.253.7234 At mom’s request, cremation has taken place. A private family celebration has been held. Her final resting place will be with her husband at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. To quote a true friend “For the past couple years, there has been a constant struggle between the angels in heaven and the family on earth. The angels have won.” She will now be without pain and will join those who are welcoming her to a new life. She will be sadly missed. As an expression of sympathy and to honour Mom’s life, memorial donations may be made to your favourite charity. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.windsorchapel.com
