Obituary of Luigia Costella (nee Bortolin)

82 years. Passed on May 15, 2019 with grace, courage and dignity. Reunited with her beloved husband Giuseppe (1990). Loving mother of Frank, Dennis and wife Lisa, and Mario and his late wife Linda (2004). Dear nonna to Michael, Josie, Nicholas (Natalie Saby), Dylan, Alexsandro, Madison, and Sarah. Cherished sister of late Lorenzo (late Vittoria), Vittorio and wife Anna, late Giacomo, Rolando and wife Giovanna, and Reno and wife Beverly. Sister-in-law to the late Ermes (surviving wife Lucia) Costella. Survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins in Canada, Italy, and USA. Luigia worked for many years at Windsor Catering. She had a true passion for gardening, both vegetables and flowers, and cooking for family gatherings. She loved to spend all of her time with family, whether it be a holiday or any day for a family dinner. She loved dogs and will be sadly missed by her furry friend, Matteo. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Central Chapel) 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E 519.253.7234 on Friday, May 17, 2019 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Parish Prayers 4:30 p.m. Friends and family are asked to gather directly at St Angela Merici on Saturday, May 18, 2019 for Funeral Mass at 9am.
